Town Wide Yard Sale to Benefit Lopatcong Emergency Squad
There will be a Town Wide Yard Sale to benefit the Lopatcong Emergency Squad on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 8 AM to 3 PM. Â The cost is $10 per yard permit or $5 per table at our station (1301 Belvidere Rd.). Â The due date for permits is August 31st. Â Permits are available at town hall. Â The rain date for this event is Sunday, September 16, 2018 during the same listed hours.

Time is always a critical factor in emergent situations. If your house numbers are not clearly visible from the road, it could lengthen the time it takes responding units to arrive on location. Here are a few tips to make your house numbers more visible.
Use 4 inch numbers. In most occasions, these are large enough to see clearly from the street.
Place them on both sides of your mailbox. Responders come from all different directions. If they are only on one side, this may cause responding units to miss the address.
Place them on your home, not doors. In the event the numbers are on a door and the door is open, responders will not see them.
If you have a long driveway, place numbers on both sides of your mailbox or sign pole at the end of the driveway.
Put the numbers under lighting and use contrasting colors for better visibility
Keep the numbers clear of shrubs and vegitation.
Following these tips will help the responding crew locate your residence in a timely fashion.
